An intimate portrait of Mei as a leader and mother, reflecting on recent floods and her ongoing mission.
The rainy season brought heavy floods to Kanglaung, yet Mei’s spirit remains unshaken. Sitting in her bamboo house, she speaks softly but firmly about the challenges the village faces—climate change, soil degradation, and migration of the youth—and about her determination to change the narrative.
Today, Mei balances leadership and motherhood with grace. Her smile and energy are contagious, even in times of uncertainty. She continues to inspire her community, proving that leadership is built on care, commitment, and the ability to dream beyond adversity.
Her dream is CAFE LAHU: a project that combines coffee, culture, and conservation to secure a better future for the next generation.
