In accordance with the applicable Personal Data Protection regulations, we inform you that the personal data you provide will be included in a processing system owned by Associació SomLahu (NIF G22806152), with registered office at Calle Trafalgar 10, 08010, Barcelona.

Data We Collect

• Volunteer application forms

• Donation forms

The data requested may include: first name, last name, email address, phone number, country, interests, payment details (in the case of donations), and any other information you voluntarily provide. This data will be retained for the period legally established.

Purpose of Processing

Your data is collected for the following purposes:

• Managing queries or communications received.

• Processing volunteer applications and coordinating activities.

• Managing donations and issuing certificates or receipts.

• Sending information about the project, campaigns, or activities (if you authorize it).

 

Legal Basis

Processing is based on your consent (by ticking the corresponding box), on compliance with legal obligations, or on the performance of a contractual/transactional relationship.

Recipients

​

Your data will not be transferred to third parties except where there is a legal obligation or where it is necessary for the provision of services, always under confidentiality commitments and GDPR compliance. Specifically:

• Donation forms: You are hereby informed that your data may be communicated, where necessary, to banks and savings institutions, public administrations, and any other entities to whom communication is required in order to fulfill the service described above. Failure to provide data to these entities will make it impossible to effectively manage your donation.

• Volunteer forms: You are hereby informed that your data will be communicated to the Lahu Association (registration number 7/2568, in Chiang Rai, Thailand) in order to fulfill the service described above, as the Lahu Association is the recipient of these volunteer programs. Failure to provide data to this entity will make it impossible to effectively manage your volunteering.

Note on international transfers: where data is communicated to entities located outside the European Economic Area, such transfers will be carried out subject to appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Data Subject Rights

Associació SomLahu will process your data lawfully, fairly, transparently, and in a manner that is adequate, relevant, limited, accurate, and up to date. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that inaccurate data is erased or rectified without delay.

In accordance with current data protection regulations, you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, restriction of processing, erasure, portability, and objection, as well as withdraw consent at any time, by sending your request to somlahu.org@gmail.com with the subject line “Data Protection”. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent Supervisory Authority.

Data Retention

Data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or until you request its deletion.
