First CAFE Lahu activity – A day to remember

Updated: Oct 18

On June 22, Kanglaung celebrated a milestone: our first regenerative farming training and the distribution of fruit tree seedlings to six families.

June 22 marked the beginning of a new chapter for Kanglaung. Early in the morning, community members gathered to welcome Ms. Bunyong, an expert in soil recovery and regenerative agriculture. Together, we traveled to collect durian, mango, avocado, and banana small trees—symbols of both environmental recovery and future income.

Six families committed to this pilot initiative, signing an agreement to care for the trees and share their progress with the community. The day was filled with practical training, laughter, and a shared meal. The act of planting became more than an agricultural task—it was a declaration of unity, resilience, and hope.

As we watched the first seedlings take root, we knew that this was just the beginning of Café Lahu’s long journey towards sustainability and self-reliance. You can read more in El arte de las pequeñas cosas.
